The Schools ICT Unit is looking to appoint an ICT technician to work within schools as part of its Technical Support Group. The Unit provides a comprehensive ICT Service to schools in Bolton. This is a busy and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be based in schools, working for half a day, or a full-day, in each of the schools allocated. The successful candidate will be able to support and develop the unit's ICT services to schools, displaying abilities including fault diagnosis, hardware repairs and new hardware & software installations. Familiarity with internal PC architecture, MS Office, and MS operating systems is essential. The successful candidate will also have good inter-personal skills, be able to communicate at all levels, and be willing to learn further skills. A full driving license and daily access to a car are required for this post. Car user allowance payments are applicable.
£15,153 - £16,217 per annum, pro rata, plus an essential car user allowance
12 months fixed term contract
Appointment to this post is subject to a Criminal Record and Background check (Enhanced)
