Oakbank School - Vacancies
ICT NETWORK MANAGER
£28172 - £33291 (pay award pending), 37 hrs pw. All year round.
Required as soon as possible, an enthusiastic, self motivated
and committed person to maintain and further develop our
Admin and Curriculum Network systems. This role requires “hands-on” experience of the installation and maintenance of Windows 2K, Active Directory, building and setting up of DHCP, Web and Mail servers. Educated to HND/NVQ level 4 in IT or Computer Science, and qualified to CNE/MSCE or equivalent, you must be willing to develop your knowledge to keep pace with technological developments across the range of ICT services. Knowledge of Novell networks would be an advantage.

9th October 2008, 11:32 PM #2 Thats interesting, I went for a senior tech role there earlier on in the year, wonder where the NM has gone as it seemed to have a lot of good stuff going for it, and very surprised the bloke that got the job that I went for hasn't been handed it on a plate in a sort of "fixed" appointment as such as he was a network manager where he came from, but hey ho, for anyone thinking about it, the school seemed a great place with good people from what I saw when I went for Interview with them.

Yes because the essential criteria states qualification or equivalent knowledge.
Then again "sense of humor" is also an essential criteria, and that is subjective - i doubt you'd get away with non PC jokes in the interview
