AV and IT Tech is a decent role, trouble is you end up with too many workflows, you'll have the network manager dealing with you regarding ICT and perhaps the Bursar or SMT making last minute AV demands, and both will need doing NOW! *Speaks from experience* Still, 15 - 16k full time isn't going to cut it is it? I agree with mattx, peanuts and monkeys...

Surely that depends on how the school is structured. One of my techs is IT/AV and all AV requests come through me to be scheduled into the departments work load. Seems to work ok here.

In terms of salary - it's about the same as my 2 senior techs get and they are both very able - certainly not in the pay peanuts catergory.

I can't disagree with the comments on Pay but as far as the job goes the incumbent has only one LM - me! AV and Multimedia are not widely used by staff as yet but it is increasing, so the post will evolve over time.

It's a great opportunity for someone who is interested in that line of IT and as we have said in the advert - further training can be arranged.

There will be some involvement with other aspects of IT too.

The post has now been filled. Thank you to all those that applied. There were some very good applicants and reducing the list to interview was not easy.

    Thanks
