Taken from this document, I don't know what year this was publuished however!

Quote:
On 23 March, Ministers announced that the Academies building programme would be integrated more closely into Building Schools for the Future (BSF). BSF is the Government’s major initiative to renew the entire secondary school estate across England and Wales.

Academy building projects will usually fall within one of the following categories:

1. Existing Academies that were under development before the introduction of the new delivery model will continue to be delivered by the traditional method without the involvement of Partnerships for Schools (PfS), unless a variation from this method would potentially realise further vfm for the public sector. The Academies in this category will be reviewed on an individual basis.

2. New Academies that are in Local Authorities (LAs) that are included in the BSF programme will be delivered by Local Education Partnerships (LEPs). The delivery of these Academies will be integrated with BSF waves and will be included in BSF proposals in the same way as any other secondary school. Academy building projects delivered by LEPs will broadly follow established BSF arrangements.

3. New Academies in LAs that have yet to be prioritised for inclusion in BSF will be delivered using the National Framework described in detail within this document
Mike.

Default Regarding BSF

As far as I am aware BSF will not and hasn't affected us in anyway.

Manchester Academy is part of the United learning Trust group that runs a number of Academies throughout the country. You would be employed by them.

Manchester Academy itself had a completely new building in 2004
