    Copy of SLA? What should be treated as priorities (e.g. classroom prob vs. admin prob)

    Somethings I would have liked when I started my job, no particular order:

    * Physical map of school with classes and teachers marked.
    * Map of IT infrastructure.
    * School policies + AUPs.
    * List of job responsibilities, what you should and shouldn't do.
    * List of priorities.
    * Info on non job related stuff - eg tea/coffee arrangements.
    * Complaints procedure.
    * An idea about how the school works (bit vague but as an example, some schools are cool with you coming in during a lesson to fix things, some its a real no-no).

    If your doing support a list of staff members against pictures and the locations your likely to find them in can prove a real time saver.

    Or hows about training this Junior Tech without paper?

    I learnt everything I know from looking over the shoulder of my NM. If he was mucking around in AD he's always give me a shout first and say "take a look at how to do this".

    Best way to learn - by doing.

    Been there a few times! Amazing how it only takes seconds for a problem you already know about to be reported, but it takes weeks for that problem you really need to know about to get through to you!

    Location of toilets!
    Location of room timetables that will show when rooms are free - and how to book them for IT work
    Dress code
    Location of docs that might be useful (eg under Manager's docs I have various 'how to.. docs, IP addresses, passwords (no, not to anything important, things like email creation etc).
    And all the things Strawberry said

    List of drives and their roles > which drives can kids save to, which are public, which are staff only etc

    Staff list with their ext numbers (with the obligatory asterisk next to any attractive female PE teachers)
