They don't have to be PE teachers, we're not prejudiced (or picky!)
Although, you should perhaps add single to the criteria!

Excuse me -not all techs are MALE y'know
So in the interests of fairness and balance, there should be an asterisk next to any attractive person of either sex

14th July 2008, 09:58 AM #25 A few things that I would have liked to have know when I started.
- List of software used in ICT Suites (and a quick tutorial on what they are).
- What staff to help first & who to leave to sweat.
- Where to find admin software (tools and utilities).
- How to open up the many types of desktop machines.
- Who the SMT are.
- Who to tell the truth to & who not to.
I could go on ...

17th July 2008, 09:22 PM #26 Oh the luxury, I never got a welcome pack, I got a list of problems to clear up. It took a day for the janitor to take pity on me and show me round the school.
Good idea though, (s)he will need 2 welcome packs, 1 technical concerning the workings of the IT systems, servers, labs etc. 1 general pack for the school, a map of depts, staff contacts, break room, toilets, school hours etc.

Yeah you should take sexual orientation into account too you know? Although would you need to get some straight/gay/men/women to assess the staff first!
Maybe we should drop it instead don't want any lawsuits.

That's why I said put an asterisk by attractive people of either sex - then you are not dictating who can or should be attracted by whom

17th July 2008, 10:57 PM #29 everyones preferences are different though
so waht one says is great isn't good for another.
Anyway, Id agree with what has been echoed by others, map of school - preferably small enough for the pocket if its a big campus, names of staff mapped to rooms if you have staff taht near enough always use a room to try and help. key facilities like toilets, kitchens, first aid kit / point etc all very useful and saves embarassin questions.
