Sorry, but hate to say it but thats really low pay for a techy and we shouldn't be made to suffer that (speaking from experience here!), especially IMHO for a full time one, at that price you'd get a GCSE drop-out student but a proven experience in ICT Support you will be more likely to attract low end people that either won't stay as they will use you for a few months till they get the right pay, or a school leaver with it being that time of year again.
Sorry to be negative! But i'm sure the school and people are nice![]()
Quite possibly John, however I have has some good feedback and CV's so far, we also have just gone through Job Evaluation and that is the agreed salary for a level 1 technician.
Wages in the South West are lower than most places, we make up for it with a great quality of life.
Maybe the wage gap between the north and south west is larger than you think, or you are just lucky enough to not have been Job Evaluated
Kind Regards
Gary.

You think that's low, try taking another 2k off..
Can you post the other 'evaluated' levels please?
What is "Level 1".... beginner, intermediate, advanced?
We are about to go through this in East Sussex, so I am keen to compare what you have with the information I've already been given.
Perhaps a new post to another forum, but do let us know which one!
Perhaps ICT Technicians should go on strike for a week?![]()

If you start the thread off by asking the question I'll contribute to it, I think from my previous searches there are lots of previous job evaluation threads already on here, but im hth.![]()
