Me again
SmoothWall are looking for another support agent. After successfully recruiting a customer last time, maybe we'll get one of you guys this time?
Full description here, but short answer: join rapidly expanding support team, looking after our customers worldwide. Based in southampton, well paid, great friendly atmosphere. If you are a SmoothWall user, that will definitely count in your favour
Any netwrok tech should have the right sort of skillset, so i imagine theres a few of you out there....

PS. Joe Z, if you're still looking for a placement spot, drop me a PM. I did fwd your CV to our head of support a few months back...

3rd May 2008, 08:12 PM #2 Bah! Stop having jobs now! Wait a couple of years and then I'd probably apply.
Also, what salary range are we speaking?

3rd May 2008, 11:03 PM #3 I will say they look a great firm and after meeting them at the Leeds office last time they had vacancies that they look a firm that any IT person would get on well with so if your interested get yourself stuck in and apply for it!

4th May 2008, 01:25 PM #4 Salary range... i'm not entirely sure. Tim Larsen (our head of support) is dealing with this one, and i haven't spoken to him about it yet (he was onsite with a client on friday). Guessing it starts with a "2" though.

4th May 2008, 02:54 PM #5 Hi Tom, thanks but I've had a couple of offers in the mean time. One of which I accepted.
I must say though the place where I'm actually going to be going on placement (my school where I did some voluntary work previously) were most impressed that I'd been speaking with someone at Smoothwall about a placement heh heh.
I may have to come to you post-graduation to see what you've got then

5th May 2008, 08:29 PM #6 One thing I have to say - if you apply, don't expect to hear anything if you're not one of the lucky few to get interviews.
I applied last time around, and didn't even get so much as an acknowledgement, let alone a thanks, but no thanks.
Just to prepare people...

6th May 2008, 08:21 AM #7 crc - that's pretty unusual, though i can only speak of recruitment here in Leeds, rather than in sunny soton. I hope your application got through OK. Which post did you apply for?

I'd say that's pretty standard for an application. If you get an interview you might expect a thanks but no thanks if you don't get it but otherwise I wouldn't expect to hear anything.
Cheers
