Placement wanted for good year out degree student
I have a very good year out degree student currently working for me.
He has decided he wants to leave but needs to find a placement for the remainder of his year out (until end August 2008).
He is very experienced in IT support and is a hard working and conscientious.
If you have a role which my be suitable for him, please PM me to discuss further.
Salary negotiable.

Contact your local universities - usually business studies and computing faculties - they should have a contact or office who deals with placements. We have used a Business Studies Information Management course student for the last 8 years or so... very useful.

21st January 2008, 12:05 PM #6 @Geoff. I'm going to be doing a placement year starting July 08 until September 09.
I've already seen what a school environment has to offer working as a tech through VI Form (network admin level...not just changing toner). Is there something that a placement with your school could offer that I won't have been able to experience before in educational IT?

P'raps there should be some form of bulletin board for this sort of ad?

21st January 2008, 01:28 PM #9 As said before, it's best to contact the placement offices of the universities.
I'm a student on a placement year; luckily for me I've been given a lot of responsibilities and I have gained invaluable experience from it so far. It's essentially cheap labour for the schools, but the students do get something out of it at least. Although, on the downside you will need to write reports on the student and I'm guessing there's a small amount of paperwork. Each university does it differently though.

Sorry, forgot to put location.
Yes he currently works in Richmond Surrey, he would consider travel anywhere reasonable. He lives in Croydon.
