Hi Folks,
I'm told we're going to have at least one vacancy in our Technical Support department. The details are sketch right now but briefly:
Location: Southampton (Hamble)
Job Title: Support Engineer
Looking for someone with a good IT background, preferably somebody used to a support-type role. The job would involve answering queries by phone and email, mostly to do with our s/w, but general networking and (especially) AD often come into it. Hours are 9-5.30, but with a shift-slide (currently one week in 4) to work 1-10pm, as we work with the US a lot. Sometimes you will be dragged to shows like BETT for "fun".
Can't make any firm statements about salary, and it really does depend on experience. It will not be "stingy" though
We're not really a "suit & tie" type company - those who met us at BETT will probably testify that we're not entirely "faceless corporate"! In addition, we would consider almost anyone - formal qualifications not a necessity. Give me a bell if you want to chat, and i'll put you in touch with the right people.

Just HOOFing this post up and adding a link here:

Come on guys... must be someone who fancies working on the south coast
Looks like pay would be something along the lines of "scale 5" from what I hear...

@russ: We've not yet got the infrastructure for 100s of WFH techies
Tell you what though - added incentive, if we employ someone as a result of this ad, I can promise a decent injection of cash into edugeek coffers, as we wont be paying recruitment fees.

Ping... just bring this to peoples' attention (again) - after 2 techies now - we want a bigger team so replacing one with two...
Any of our customers who've had the pleasure of calling our support(!) and talked to Rich Inskip - he's leaving us for a job as a 'lectronical engineer. Hence need MORE TECHIES![]()
Hey, I just got a call about this from a recruitment agency.
(sending off my C.V)
Googling found me this, so I thought I would be cheeky and post up!

Would have been better off without the recruiter middleman
Fair enough for a bit of google-related ingenuity tho!
