Our client is a well-established IT Services Company specialising in new build and refurbishment ICT projects and managed service contracts based around latest Windows and Citrix thin client technologies. They are working with a Large Academy in the Worcestershire area and a cluster of other schools and require a manager to lead the support function locally.
The school require someone who has strong communication skills, able to work with teaching and SLT staff with confidence drawn from previous management experience in the sector. Able to manage the support functions to deliver on the IT development plan as well as managing the team and coordinating the support service both on site and delegation to the company’s headquarters.
Successful candidates will be excellent communicators who excel both at managing and working with a team and also working alone. They will be able to manage their own and others’ time successfully, and also be able to work to a schedule.
Management of technicians and client relationships is crucial. Other technical knowledge you will have gained along the way may include: Windows Server 2008, 2012, Server virtualisation, Infrastructure experience (HP networking, Wi-Fi, VLANs), Storage (SAN, NAS), Active Directory, Group Policy, Apple Mac setup and integration, Network backup (Symantec Backup Exec), Network services (DNS, DHCP, SQL, IIS, File and Print), MS Exchange 2013/Office 365, Desktop deployment (Windows 7/8/Apple)
This role includes some local travel and a car driver with car is essential
