It is expected that the post holder will ensure that our students gain experience of a wide range of programming languages and actively lead in the development of a high quality, innovative programme of study. We are fully committed to ensuring that all of our students experience lessons which enable them to achieve high standards of attainmentand the successful candidate must be able to enthuse and inspire students, and demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver good and outstanding lessons.
It is expected that the post holder will have a clear view of the place of Computer Science within the curriculum and be aware of current developments in this area of education. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in Key stages 3 & 4 and be committed to teaching Computer Science to A Level standard. Candidates should be prepared to improve their knowledge and expertise and keep abreast of technological development by attending relevant courses, conferences and by visits to other schools. It will also be expected that he/she contributes to the professional development of other colleagues in this curriculum area.
This new teaching position will form part of our Design and Technology faculty and will be line managed and supported by the Head of Faculty.
