Blackpool and The Fylde College is amongst the largest general further education colleges in England and the second largest college in the North West. The College has a reputation for excellence and innovation locally, regionally and nationally. In the last 10 years, the College has grown its turnover by over £20 million. This growth has not, however, been achieved at the expense of quality. As an ambitious and complex organisation that is continually seeking to enhance learner ICT provision and experience, they are focused on remaining genuinely leading edge.

The primary focus of the role is to develop and lead the enhancement of online learning technologies. You will be responsible for continually investigating and streamlining new technologies, particularly fully interactive and online technologies such as augmented reality, interactive media, the Moodle virtual learning environment and other technologies such as the virtual classroom. Constantly looking to the future to improve learners' technological journeys, a primary objective is to ensure there is a measurable impact on student outcomes and helping to embed a culture of continuous technological improvement.

With a remit to initiate change, the successful candidate will be an innovative online learning professional with a thorough understanding of integrating eLearning who will drive agendas to further develop curriculum learning resources. A background in implementing market leading online technologies within a comparable environment is essential, demonstrating a blend of strong management skills and hands-on experience to support a constantly evolving college.
