Web/DB Developer - London 30k
Required ASAP a Web/Applications/Database Developer with knowledge of C#, .NET and MS SQL Server for St Paul's Girls' School in London.
For full details please see the attached Job Description and Person Spec.
St Paul’s Girls’ School is one of the country’s leading independent secondary day schools for girls aged 11-18 and is a lively academic community with excellent facilities for all subjects.
Full details of the school are available on our website at http://www.spgs.org
· Intranet/Learning Platform – The school wants to replace its existing in-house intranet with a 3rd party web application specifically designed for schools (Firefly). This will need to be styled and customised, with additional functionality developed in C#, ASP.NET and MS SQL. Content will be managed by staff throughout the school.
· Management Information System (MIS) – The School uses a school MIS supplied by WCBS which includes PASS (a MS SQL client program) and 3Sys (a web front end). The IT Team provides support and training to end users as well as writing custom reports using MS SQL and Reporting Services.
· School Website – The school has recently launched a new website developed in WordPress (PHP/MySQL) by a 3rd party. The IT Team work in an advisory capacity as the technical liaison for this project and also support staff in managing content.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a new role working on whole school projects which will have a real impact. There will also be scope to contribute to the school’s public profile through the new website.
Whilst some relevant experience is important, there will be opportunities for training including Microsoft & ITIL certification.
There will also be opportunities to develop skills beyond the purely technical with regular engagement with staff across the school and broader professional development, for example in project management or supervising the work of other colleagues.
