36 hours per week Monday to Friday with ½ hour lunch break.
Salary £40,911 – 43,584 (Scale PO5)
The Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced Network Manager, helpdesk adviser and administrator with broad ranging knowledge of school IT support to join this Catholic 11-18 comprehensive school judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2013 and moving into brand new premises in 2015.
You will have previous experience in a similar management role and in a technical support capacity, as well as a computing related degree or relevant experience.
You will be confident in managing multiple domains, scripts, security and Active Directory issues, Exchange Server for email and be experienced supporting Microsoft XP/Windows7 systems. A knowledge of SIMs and LGfL Services is essential. The main responsibilities of this post will include hardware and software support, undertaking new ICT
projects, providing IT support to staff and students and managing the IT Technician.
The successful applicant will be a flexible, committed individual capable of adapting to changing environments and quick to learn new software and technologies. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. A proven track record of good communication and organisational skills is essential.
Experience of working in a school based environment is desirable. The ability to work professionally under pressure to deadlines and operate flexibly within the changing needs of the school is essential.
