ICT Support Technician (Full-time, permanent)

Starting salary: 16,830, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Holidays 21 days + bank holidays

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic ICT Technician to join our IT team in supporting the whole academy network. You will be working within an education environment alongside colleagues and students, both in curriculum and administration areas.

The role will include maintenance of all ICT networks, infrastructure, computer workstations, software and peripherals.

Keeping up to date the Microsoft Enterprise network, infrastructure, computer workstations, software and peripherals. Introducing new technologies and systems as they are developed and working to maintain the level of provision on a day to day basis.

A good knowledge of Microsoft OS, including Server 2008/2012, Windows 7, Office 365, Active Directory. Experience of virtualised servers in Hyper-V, Failover Cluster Manager, networking concepts like VLANS, Profiling, Office etc., not essential but desirable. Strong communication skills are also a vital attribute in the educational environment.
