We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and innovative ICT manager to return the school’s ICT systems from a managed service to in-house provision by the start of autumn 2013.

The candidate will have exceptional communication skills and be able to work alongside teaching and support staff in order to create robust ICT systems to support outstanding, learning and teaching and management in the school.

The successful candidate will be skilled in a broad range of Windows server based technologies / SQL Server / VOIP/ IP and Wireless / VMware. He or she will have had experience of managing and implementing change successfully.

The Manager will initially be working independently during the planning phase and then subsequently will recruit and manage a small team of technicians to assist in implementing the change. The present managed service contract expires in December 2013 and it is vital that the school has its own network fully operational by then. The successful candidate will be required to ensure a seamless transfer of data and facilities, preferably by September 2013.

Once the transfer has been successfully implemented, work on improving and expanding the ICT provision can begin. This is an exciting and challenging role and will command significant seniority within the staffing structure of the school.
