Anyone having problems with email bouncing to domains registered with One and One.
I reported a problem to EMBC support last week and as far as I can gather the problem is with all domains that have been registered with One And One. Seems odd that this problem is only affecting email via the EMBC as Virgin, Hotmail and Yahoo all send email to my domain ok

5th August 2009, 10:06 AM #3 The call is linked to 00204776 and below text is taken from the Synetric customer service centre page.
------------------------------------------
An issue has been identified where embc users cannot send e-mail to any domain that is registered with the Hosting Group 1and1.co.uk.
All e-mails being sent to an affected domain are currently not being accepted by 1and1 mail servers due to a change of their e-mail acceptance policies. We are liaising with 3rd parties to ensure acceptance of legitimate mail from embc.
This call was put on hold at 09:52:09 on 07/31/09
Reason for On Hold:
Awaiting confirmation of scheduling for RFC-16606
We have confirmed that delivery to email domains hosted by 1and1.co.uk fail due to current EMBC MX records using aliasing.
The RFC-16606: Update EMBC DNS records mx1 & mx2.embc.uk.com from CNAME to 'A' record has been raised to resolve the issue however we await scheduling approval from EMBC for the change to proceed.

12th August 2009, 11:03 PM #4 I must be the only one having problems email to one and one domains then.
I’m on holiday till Friday so I haven’t chased it but it just occurred to me that there is no RFC-16606!
So what’s that all about!

27th August 2009, 09:03 AM #5 I had the same problem just before I went on holiday, I didnt know it was due to an issue with 1&1 untill I read this thread. I raised an isue with the LA as we cant contact Synetrix directly (grrr).
I'm just going to try and send an email from owa and see if its been fixed!!!

27th August 2009, 09:39 PM #6 The fix was implemented on the 14th and can't see any other reported faults with it so far. It would be nice for the OP to follow up though with smiles if they are now happy.

but I still can't find any documentation on RFC-16606... must be a typo

28th August 2009, 07:14 AM #8 Internal Request For Change, resulting in a Technical Change Request (TCR) ... to be honest I didn't really hunt to see if the numbers matched up anywhere but they usually do ... it is just that you may not see some of the other bits.
