If I ping relay.inthehive.net I get an IP address and if I telnet it, it makes a connection but just returns 220 and a row of asterixes. Maybe there's two different issues!

Yes, it does connect and responds to that.

Suggested that and got told that no, it's all one issue.

Is that the connection error? Just to confirm, you can Telnet and NSLOOKUP the relay.inthehive.net address?

Looking at the main call notes on the support site I'd say that the issue you are experiencing now is possibly different so I'd ask to open a new call as chances are the call you had open has been closed out as resolved.

Ours is 2007 and working. So could possibly be a 2003 thing then.

Could be 2003 then. I can telnet and get a helo reply and I get an IP if I do an NSlookup.

Just contacted them, apparently there is a new issue. So it looks like there was two different issues all along!

    What's the new issue? :-(

Edit: Is it that mails aren't sending again?

Edit2: Oh, they seem to be for us. Just with a bit of a delay.

I think there might be a third issue, as we can't telnet, and get nothing back from an nslookup.

Unable to send anything and the queue viewer on Exchange says '451 4.4.0 DNS query failed'.

@Divaldo it sounds like your issue is different to the others, and could be network / DNS related. Can you connect to any other *.inthehive.net service? Have you checked your DNS forwarders are set to those specified by your connectivity provider?
