"Doomed, doomed!"
Is this why no engineer has been sent to plug my back-up ADSL modem into the wall? They needed to wet the ink on a new contract?
Seriously I've had an ADSL filter in my office for about 4 months (maybe longer). An ADSL modem sitting in it's box for nearly as long and the line was finally put in about 2 months ago. I got all the pieces just no one to plug it all in!
same here don't know what they are playing at.
unfortunately for us and due to the rurality of Norfolk BT is the only provider with the infrastructure to provide our services. It went to a european tender and I think they may have been the only ones to bid.
Isn't the £40m to do with the low water table and they have to run waterproof cables everywhere for when this happens?
bt's underground cable is sealed anyway
Our backup router is slowly making its way around the many different uses I can find for it until BT/ICTS can be bothered to come and plug it in. Currently it is enjoying life as a monitor stand although it did have a few weeks as a paperweight:D
It'd be nice if they would hurry up a bit some they can find out there isnt enough cable to plug it in with and send me some of that, but I suppose thats next years job!
Would be nice if they'd come sort our back up router out as well...
Then again it'd also be really nice if Norfolk lifted the 10MB cap off our internet connection. It was a 10MB connection before but it's now slower than ever!
