Thumbs down windows 7 firewall control

I use Server 2008r2 as my desktop workstation, this means I regulally install software and most of the time dont want it to send out information on my home network.

The built in firewall lacks the comercial front end of good firewalls and while better than previous firewalls really miss the ease at which they can apply policies to applications.

    Enter windows 7 firewall control
Ensure you click the correct version.

This free app is a front end for the built in firewall, is native 64bit , and is quite usable.

Looks good, and hope anyone else finds this useful.

Perhaps your issues lay in the fact that server OSes are not meant to be used as desktop machines?

Its my home machine, my other computer at my desk is a dedicated gaming rig and dont install anything on it.

I torrent alot, and so server is better for open connections.
And im following a cbt nuggests CNA tutorial, and like to mess while listening. I always use server OS on my workstation computer so that I can play and learn and does most things anyway but is somtimes limited by programs not alowing server installs, like firewalls.
