PC Matic freeware equivalent

Been looking at getting PC Matic to keep a couple of machines clean of muck, but before I do, can anyone suggest any freeware equivalents that do the same thing(s) that they would recommend?

What is it you are trying to achieve? Just get the pc back to when you first made it, or keep an eye on your computers.

If all you want is to get your pcs back to day one how about WDS! very easy to use, get hold of one of your pc make it perfect and ever have a problem, download and get it back to normal in about 30min.

We have even used it to reimage a whole room doing 20 pc at a time.

As for keeping up-to-date, wsus is your friend.

Just for keeping it clean of superfluous registry stuff, craplets and up-to-date drivers etc. Already use Acronis for imaging, and very happy with it. Just wanted some software that will keep the machines 'optimised'.

WDS? That stands for what by the way? I'm not familiar with that abbreviation.
