Alot of people ask on here for room booking software etc...
We had an email through from a company offering us one for £230 which was only computer based without a web front end. I looked all over the net a few months back and found the following for free, access database with clear forms and with a complete asp front end for booking. Its all pretty straight forward.
I dont claim this as my own just cant find the address that the original was from?
http://www.holte.bham.sch.uk/rooms.zip
4 .asp files and access database included

If you want to save £320, and can wait a few weks, I'm working on one as well that doesn't need IIS.

webman: Ok I'll hold off bugging you anymore until that is released probably more interested in the locally installed version but the online version I suppose would allow them to book at home etc...
Looks good anyway.

The ICT Staff at Devizes School have produced an excellent one which they make available for a small donation to the PTA funds.
PM me if you'd like contact details.

We make our version available from home hosted on our own web server. It uses a two week timetable. I like this version because it only shows what is available. Instead of having to enter all the days which are not available as classes are timetabled to the room anyway, i only have to enter the periods when the rooms are free, thus reducing the number of entries i have to make.
The database which is held on a sahre lets admin/head of ICT see who is using rooms when and where, what equipment is used regualrly and also which teachers use the free rooms throughout the year!
Can't remember the thread but I posted our home grown version when someone asked before. Is on ASP and access and is pretty customisable in relation to periods and rooms. I think I've updated it since then so if anyone is interested I can post it up again, I'd have to have a clean up though first!
EDIT:
Opps I lied, that was the info Screen System. But if anyone wants a look I can clean it up and post it. I'm sure I have an old PHP version as well, but that hasn't been maintained.
If you could get it to import the Nova-T settings from sims that would be useful!
Wes

@wesleyw: If I can find the format that Nova exports to, it may well be possibleIt's something I'll certainly consider.

Will it be able to tell the difference between tea and coffee? hehe only joking webman![]()

Yes, yes it will![]()
Can you connect it up to a display out side the room, so that it shows who has got the room booked ? So no one else can sneak in.
Yer, that would be cool, a web page for each room, maybe auto refreshing then we could set up a kiosk type machine on one of our old PC's and point it to the page for that room.

Yes and a foolproof walkthrough for the teachers so that they could get it right first time without cocking everything up!! cool!!!

I would have thought that would be standard mrbs auto refreshes the page for you.
Plus it could be running a *nix system to avoid taking up a precious windoze licence.
Very possible.

Got to admit, that looks really nice, very aesthetically pleasing
