Hi,
Excellent free Modelling/CAD software. Really easy to use, plus you can download or upload models into the "3D Warehouse" and then stick them in Google Earth.
Just a thought, you could map a network with it.
Enjoy

And though the licensing terms aren't explicitly clear regarding school usage, Emily Chan at Sketchup confirms that it's fine:
Hi there,
Schools and students can use Google SketchUp (free). Schools have the option of using the free version or purchasing the Pro version depending on how they wish to use the program. If you wish to use the free version, you just have to download the program onto the computers in the school. Currently, we do not make any mention of this on the Google SketchUp website, but in the education section of sketchup.com, it says that k-12 schools should try Google SketchUp (free). Sorry about the confusion.

If you check out http://www.sketchup.com/?section=education it also mentions it there![]()
When it is very, very quiet, and I am very, very bored, I have started attempting to build a model of our school from some plans we have. Not going to be very acurate but I thought I might be able to get some good captures from strange angles and it serves as a good example for lessons.
Using layers in it is interesting though!
