Well I have actually been working all except one week in January catching up on installing new servers, re-imaging etc. School this year will be different because of the Commonwealth games.....

Term 1: Mon. 30 Jan – Fri., 10 Mar (Students commence Tues., 31 Jan)
Term 2: Mon. 27 Mar – Fri., 16 Jun
Term 3: Mon. 3 Jul – Fri., 15 Sept
Term 4: Mon. 2 Oct – Thu., 21 Dec
This applies to Melbourne.... other states may be different.

What are your terms like?

Our holidays. The dates differ between several days, sometimes upto 2 weeks depending on each area's LEA.

We get two weeks at christmas, two weeks over easter and six weeks from July to September. We also get a week at the half way point during each term. I don't recall the exact dates at the moment but to be honest since I'm full time I don't pay that much attention to them anyway

slightly OT, we have got an exchange teacher from auz, and he was like OMG! I start teaching on the 4th Jan! and ours out there was like holiday by the bucket load! But it swaps round at summer of course, they get more like a "half term" and we get 6 weeks (well the teachers do, were 53 weeks a year)
