Real Player 10

Does anyone know where I can download Real Player 10?

This has since been superceded by version 11, but I am rebuilding images and need to remain consistent with other workstations on the network.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

"Real Alternative" is another one to look at.

I use the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. v2.01 was the last release that came with QuickTime alternative until Apple decided to throw the legal stuff at them.

It's currently on v3.50 and still has Real Alternative.

As others have said, you may want to look at A N Other player rather than Real, not least because their license used to prohibit the use of imaging software for distribution unless you bought the (very expensive) enterprise version. Essentially, you were supposed to get end users to install the software and hand over their email addresses to Real Networks.

I put Realplayer on the classroom computers so they could watch Newsround (against my better judgement!) I've now gone around and removed it and replaced it with Real Alternative which is much less invasive.

I generally hate real player.

I don't know why i just do. Maybe its the PITA setup process or the very bad videos you find on the BBC website day in day out. I don't know.

I t suppose to fall back to lower quality stream if bandwith is low but in my experience it just stops anyway.

Jeesh any player can do that.
