Appointment booking software

Does anyone know of any free appointment booking software, possibly aimed towards a hair salon? This must be held locally not web based. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've just designed a MS Access Database before now, or Excel. Outlook Calendar has also been a favourite amongst most clients.

Why not just use something like MS Outlook, Evolution (for linux) or Thunderbird (for both).

They all have calendar functions. Thunderbird and Evolution both are free (as in beer/libre), Evolution is even free as in open source code(IIRC).

Cheers guys, had a look into them. I think will go down the DIY Path and design one myself. Unless someone already has one that is.
