Future IT Jobs
I studied IT at uni but have been in teaching for over 5 years, My motivation now is to work and do well in the IT industry, any suggestions of area to concentrate on? I want to start with some professional course but which area of IT has most prospects for the future? I thought cyber security has great prospects, and if that is right, what are the courses I can start with? very confused pls help

Security is a trending area, but that also means a lot of competition, esp for someone just starting out. If you have very little experience and knowledge, the best place to start is with the CompTIA A+ certification. I tend towards self study rather than classrooms or bootcamps, as they are cheaper, easier and more convenient. You really need to get a good grasp of what areas you are truly best in and love, so that is where you will excel. Try looking at a few different courses to see what suits your fancy so you can narrow down one specific area.

Java seems to pay well and have lots of jobs at the moment
