    Yeap Sysprep still exists and should be used whenever your imaging via the non-ms way (unless you want some bad things to happen with certain apps such as WSUS or network based antivirus solutions).

    non ms way being ghost, acronis true image etc and also can you not download and use the new sid util - obviously its not supported anymore but still works - think there was a thread on here somewhere where that util was attached via a zip file ??

    Yes those packages, But Sysprep > NewSID.

    Sysprep changes and whipes a lot of system specific stuff when it runs compared to NewSID which just did the machine SID, which is why the developer decided to bin it.
