if edugeek had its own twitter account it could use the twitter api to post links to new threads. I have some time next week to investigate the api side of this, if it's of interest....?

I thought it did? But can't find it now!
Personally i cant see the benefit of doing this
I already have the edugeek feed on my twitter.
oh right. it didn't come up in the search because its called edugeekuk, ah there's someone else already using edugeek. that's unfortunate...
With the amount of posts made on here, I wouldn't follow that myself - I get twitter updates on my phone - i'd never be able to pick out the important stuff.
Facebook, tolerable
MySpace, schizophrenic
Twitter, desperately pathetic
Sorry i'm in a facetious mood had to say it :D
Yeh I know what you mean it can be a good tool it's just when it's used by 'Dave' you know the type. "Dave is on the toilet...Dave is going down the pub...Dave is in the supermarked :rolleyes:Quote:
Nah, twitter is useful for some things. Grumbledook makes good use of it, for example.

Yes EduGeek was taken when we set the EG twitter account up.
We use twitterfeed.com : feed your blog to twitter to get the posts to twitter. Also I have updated the settings so our tweets have Edugeek.net at the start. Hopefully that will make it slightly better to deal with.
Also a question do you want the http://twitter.com/edugeekuk to be a pure forum/blog post feed or would you want that account to be more interactive.
Russ
Also I can set the feed to publish to following services:
laccni.ca
hellotxt
Any service that ping.fm supports.
Would this be interest to anyone.
