Is it possible that the news on the front page can have a RSS feed.
I dont tend to go to the home page toooften and mainly concentrate on the forums. If it was possible to have RSS then i would pick them up in a newsreader.

yes will in theroy rss readers should allow other than .xml and because people automativly generate .xml files using php and reads should just check contents of file to make sure it is valid..
But lot they dont will set up .xml file later to day...
