I always have to search for previous posts as I never remember its in the UK section as I expect it to be in the Genreal Section
I realise that I'm arguing with the boss but isn't general chat for anything?

Oooo! playing with fire there simon! :P hope you have a fire extinguisher handy lol!!
but, yeah in theory general chat is for anything but of there is a specific forum for topics then they should be directed into that location
keeps things in the right area so when people go to look for something they find it..
James.

Hehe its not that General Chat is bad, its more Simon was getting so many thanks posts it was starting to fill pages on its own so we merged them all into that thread which became the current policy for "Thanks Supplier" posts.
These things happen, its no biggie but I just wanted to let you know more then anything

We could say that about a number of other forums though ... why should we put recommended suppliers in somewhere other than in the purchasing and trading section? After all .. that is only a tiny section of what the site is about. (quick note to folk at CP ... sorry to hijack the thread, but perhaps this could be split into the comments and suggestions rather than detract from the thread thanking you...)

No prob with that its the fact that its buried deep into UK speficic - I'd put it above fun stuff in General as its a lot more use than fun stuff

13th May 2010, 07:56 AM #8 I must admit, I find it hard to find as well. I don't use the forum to ask for quotes, I am far more likely to ring, so I don't use the purchasing or whatever bits very often. The thanks should definitely be in one place though - is there any way to signpost it if it can't be moved?
For me, getting problems sorted is the main reason I am here, followed by getting kit at keen prices from recommended 'fellas', and lastly meeting up with like-minded people for a laugh and a chat. So I agree with SimpleSi -it IS more useful than the fun stuff
