Formatting inside code block

It's a minor niggle but could it possible to have some of the formatting markups allowed inside a code block. There may be times when it would be useful to emphasise a particular keyword or variable.

I think 'code ' is intended to be able to cut and paste from, hence the inability to format further.

I have seen phpbb mods which give you syntax highlighting. Any chance of that?

Yes, perhaps if there are syntax highlighting mods for bat files and VBS scripts? They could be encapsulated in serperate tags (eg, [batch] and [vbs])?
