There's a regular flow of posts about one kind of 'remote access' solution or another. Maybe we should have a forum for these questions...

Um, doesn't the networking forum cover that?![]()
Yeah and a lot of this could be tackled by a proper FAQ.
Kind of. but I sort of take 'networks' to mean 'local area networks' and judging by where the questions pop on other forums, I don't think I'm the only one.Originally Posted by Geoff

If not a forum then what about a section on the WiKi. Maybe those who have already sorted their remote access could jot down a few notes about how it was done, the pros & cons and so on.
Come on AJ you know most people are afraid of the wiki for some strange reason ....![]()

It's easily missed unless you go through the left menu slowly with a magnifying glass :?Originally Posted by ChrisH

indeed, the web forum and thin client forum could also cover remote access. I agree a wiki is probably best or we find the forums become a bit too specialised - eg the 'remote access for windows, without citrix but with webdav and with reverse proxy but without cli forum'. A wiki would provide the best way to direct questions to the appropriate section.Geoff wrote:
