    Tagging threads

    After seeing sysman_mk's rather pretty word cloud earlier, I've been playing with tags on threads. Stuff in the Shutdownertron projects forum is fine, because I'm a mod and can add as many tags as I can dream of. But for threads I didn't start or don't have any juristiction over, I can only add two, which isn't very helpful.

    So:

    1. Admins: is there any possibility of adding more than two tags by a user who isn't powerful over a particular thread? Five would be ideal;

    2. Members: I implore you to tag your thread with a few well-chosen keywords when you start one. It only takes a few seconds; an example of a thread about choosing a deployment and packaging method might be "deployment, cloning, packaging, evaluate".

    If there's enough material at some indeterminate time in the future, I'll investigate some pretty clouds of the tags, and at the same time it'll give the admins some way to rank trends in posts, should they ever feel the inclination.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the suggestion. I'm never sure what or if I should put tags on my threads. I'll certainly think more deeply in future and try to add some.

    I didn't know that 'normal' people could only add two tags... I can add as many as I like

    I have always found it annoying that 'XP' cannot be a tag (too few letters).

    mere mortals can only add 2 by default in VB from what I recall on my last vb install. I do sometimes Tag, but do admit that I am a bit pants at it, also when adding tags note tha it does pop up showing you suggestions as you type from existing used tags which is quite nice
