    Downloads

    Please ensure that when you post a download that when someone clicks 'Download this file now' that it starts the download process, and does not take them to another web page. You can do this by entering the full url into the 'File link' box in the add a new download page Thank you.

    So long as you provide a link to the downloads page in the relevent box then it'll be ok. You have 2 boxes. One for the download and one for the web page.

    Is not not better to link to the page containing the download link (in case the filename changes or multiple versions are available)?

    When you add the link to the download file you also have the oppertunity to add the downloads homepage (or downloads page) in too!
