    New Boxes On Home Page

    Hi
Like the new home page, but I think it would look better if the boxes along the left and right handside (current poll, search forums etc) came away from the border abit. I think it will look better

The boxes will be tidied up soon. We have to de-clutter the homepage as it is getting like the old one and that was putting off potential members.

I like it likr that, i would rather have it like it is.

I can see what is going on in many areas just at a glance.

I think 50/50 solution is to have front page that less cluttered and info page that is like frontpage now and people can bookmark which one they want.

Does need to be de cluttered slightly in my view.

I am thinking to make some of the boxes by default collapsed so then those that want can expand them but by default the frontpage looks a lot less "texty"

No please don't do that, I like to choose what is expanded and not, if it can remember like the actual forum does when I'm logged in that will be fine but by default all should be viewable.

Yer but once you have changed the defaults you can expand what you want.

that would mean expanding everything = painful and people won't bother to expand them meanign things wouldn't be seen. Far easier to get people to close / remove the modules they don't want themselves.

As said before i still think way to go with this is have cutdown view as home page and link to information view (maybe once logged in can choose which view comes up when you visit the homepage)

John: Yeh it will be probably using a cookie and I can see if I can hook together a "expand all" button for ya
I am going to try to hook it into a database to link it to your account but its not straight forward.
