Rep Power: 23 | The 'report' function is for all members - If a member sees a post they deem as inappropriate, they can report it - Depending on how it's been setup in ACP, the board software will then PM/email the admins and/or the forummods so the issue can be looked into quicker. The 'infraction' function is staff only - think of it as a warning system. It allows an easier record to be kept of any problem members. Again, depending on setup, a member who gets, say, 5 infractions, could be automatically moved to a restricted group for a period of time, where any new posts they made would be subject to mod approval before being made public etc. |
