Preloader for a Flash CS3 newbie

    Hi All,

Are there any Flash/AS coders around here?

I have a 5mb SWF file which started life as an Adobe After Effects video. I'd like to put the SWF in a web banner, but clearly due to size (which can't be compressed any more), really needs a preloader. Unfortunately I'm pretty average when it comes to Flash, and next to no use when it comes to Action Scripts in there.

I've looked around for decent components that I could import and use to call an external SWF and load etc, but ideally I'd like something I could do inside of the same SWF file above. Everything along those lines I've seen on the net look so complicated. I'm hoping someone here might be able to provide me some code I could copy/paste and make it all work! (I appreciate it probably won't be that easy, but it can't be as awful as I've seen while searching!)

    Cheers

Does it have to be a SWF? Could you embed the video using FlareVideo or something similar?

Hmm. Never heard of it, but looks interesting. Will try and have a look tonight.
Do you know if that will autostart and loop the video content? (If not, it probably won't do the trick for this activity)
