    Copy logon bitmap to machine.

Is there an easy (logon) script i could use to copy the logon bitmap to the machine ?

Just one problem i see is that students who login don't have write access to the C drive.

Any idea how i can push out this logon bitmap easily?

Re: Copy logon bitmap to machine.

The following VBS script will copy the file over at machine startup, I use a modified version to copy over directories containing startmenu and desktop icons at startup. Because it is run under the system account, it will have access to the C:\ and the netlogon share with no problems.

    Code:
    Const OverWriteFiles = True
    Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
    objFSO.CopyFile "\\server\netlogon\wallpaper\wallpaper.bmp" , "C:\wallpaper.bmp", OverWriteFiles
Save as something.vbs and add it as a start up script to the necessary OUs, then copy the wallpaper you want to use to the netlogon share.

And before anyone adds it, yes you could probably use a batch file with the copy command, but I prefer VBS script, as it works for me!

Yeh another recommendation for BGInfo here, its has loads more features and can run silently in the start script.
