Office 365 is syncing to wrong domain?

I am currently trialling importing our students on to our office365 using ADFS and dirsync.

All imports fine but they go in with the wrong domain in their email address.

Is there a way to set the correct one by default?

Hmm thought this might fix it but no...

Microsoft Showcase: Office 365: Users Appear with O365 Domain After DirSync

If I input their email in AD would that fix it maybe??
