Exchange Online Protection for Faculty
If I am using Office 365, do I need to further license my users for Exchange Online Protection for Faculty/Students? What exactly is this part? Are Office 365 users not protected for spam / malware without this?

some customers will purchase Exchange Online Protection (EOP) if they wish to use this to protect there internal mail servers for example, so it's pretty much like any other 3rd Party Cloud SPAM/Malware Protection Service. You are able to route mail outbound/inbound through EOP and then to your On Premise Infrastructure.
If you have an Exchange Online Subscription, Then EOP is built in.
I hope that helps,
