    Take a look at this - this is the best we have come up with from a customisation of the top nav
    Customize SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 suite bar

    Thanks @apearce. That only seems to work for individual sites, though - is there a way of forcing everyone's personal site into using the new Master theme?

    Take a look at this video - might need to do some coding but it does what you asked.

    Just to answer my own question, using a more straightforward method than all the coding above (thanks anyway @apearce):

    Use Sharepoint Designer 2013 to connect to the mysites URL, as detailed in @lmgtfy's post here.
    Instead of copying the contents of Person.aspx into Default.aspx, though, copy the following code in:
    Code:
    <html>
    <head>
      <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=https://[tenancy]-my.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/MySite.aspx?MySiteRedirect=AllDocuments" />
    </head>
    <body>
    </body>
    </html>
    Alter [tenancy] as relevant, or - easier - log in to Office 365 as any user and copy the URL from the SkyDrive shortcut up the top.

    That then automatically bounces anyone going to the Newsfeed page over the the SkyDrive Pro page - which means that as soon as a user logs in, they are shown their SkyDrive Pro page. Result
