    Office 365 Migration Help!

    Help!

I've just been testing the migration of our current email to Office 365 and it was all going swimmingly, so got brave and decided to use my account as the next test.

That went well, until I started getting a lot of bounced messages - for some reason the migration is reprocessing all the read and recieve requests and sending out replies to confirm they have been read and recieved - is there any way I can stop this from happening as I really don't want it to do that!

I was talking to the project manager at SWGfL about this recently and she tells me they are on hold wit it currently until MS sort a 'small' glitch out.

    FFS! Small bug?!?!?

I'm pleased I did use my account now as it will probably have the widest range of emails in it, but I mean how can you call that a small bug?!?

Done a bit more research and one person managed it with a mail rule, however I'm still not impressed! Back to testing on a smaller mailbox.....

Any idea if this affects all migration options (such as IMAP) or is it specifically related to Exchange Server to Office 365?

I'm doing IMAP to Office 365, we don't have an onsite Exchange server.

The last change I've made seems to have stopped them being sent when I've gone back to repopulating test accounts, although they do appear in the mailbox sent folder (but most definitely isn't ideal). I'm just wondering whether to migrate my mailbox across again to test it or try and borrow somebody else's....

What I've done following somebody's advice is create a Mail Flow Rule which will delete any message with Read: in the subject, but it needs to be very general and wide otherwise it doesn't seem to apply properly, for example if I try to include the filter to the sender is an Internal user it doesn't apply and allows the messages through.

Well I've done it, all mailboxes migrated across and no read receipts sent out.

For Safety I set the Mail Rule to quarentine the Read: emails and then ran the migration, once complete disabled the mail rule and we're all up and running.
