    Google Apps Deployment

Its taken me approx 10 minutes to sync my users with Google apps and create them all accounts. It took me 3 days to get it working with M$ 365. Not saying one is better than the other but if I can get password synching to work in another 10 minutes I am sold.

There are a couple of paid for apps that will do this for you. Looks like this one might do it with the free version:
    Google Apps | OneLogin

Also check out: Hapara | Powering Google Apps for Educators Teacher's Dashboard.
Haven't used them myself but looks promising.

Or use Google's own free tool for the job.

Got GAPS working. Google responded within 20 minutes of my enquiry although I did end up solving it myself. It seemed to stop the GAPS working when it got tot the Smoothwall account that smoothie creates in AD. I drilled down the Base DN further and its all good now. Just need to lock it down more now. When they log on they seem to get loads of stuff to mess with.

You can remove services and apps from the admin pages but what I found handy was to use Google Sites to create my own landing page for the staff. As everything Google offer is web based you can copy the urls for an app and past it on your own website.

Just getting my head round the SSO settings to stop them changing their password. is this necessary or do you just tell them not to?
