Anyone got any timescales when existing Office 365 for education customers will be upgraded from Sharepoint 2010 to 2013? I went down to Bett on Saturday and was impressed on the Microsoft stand with the functionality of 2013.

No idea.
I sat in on an MS training session "Administering Office 365 for Small Businesses Jump Start" back in November. They didn't even seem to know that you could edit PDF documents from Word 2013, and couldn't answer if/when that would be available in O365.
I'm attending an Office 365/Cloud in Education Seminar on Friday with Sean O’Shea (and others) from Microsoft. I will ask your question there for you if you like?
We are still on Live@Edu awaiting upgrade to Office 365 for both of our sub/domains.

Coincidentally, the man from Microsoft is in today doing some training on 365. He seemed to think it was available now. Will double check with him when he has finisshed his current session and let you know.

Ok, so he didnt actually know. He has emailed one of his people and as soon as he gets back to me, I will let you know @bigjb

All Current Live @ Edu customers awaiting the upgrade to Office 365, I am to believe this will be done (as in everyone will be moved) by around Aug/Sep 2013.
The Office 365 Preview which provides you with Lync 2013, SharePoint 2013 & Exchange 2013 goes live some time in Q1 of this year but no exact date as of yet.Once it is GA then you will be emailed as soon as you can upgrade your tenancy.
James.
There are two streams of work here:
1. The upgrade of customers currently on Live@edu to the current version of Office 365 for education. This is happening right now, and most customers can now upgrade at their own pace, or wait until their scheduled date.
2. The upgrade of the current version of Office 365 for education to the new Office 365 for education (aligned with the 2013 applications and servers for on-premises). This is a separate process from the Live@edu upgrade. There are no timescales to share at this time with respect to when existing customers will be upgraded as the new version is not yet available.
Once the new version is available we'll start communicating with customers about what that upgrade is going to look like, when it will happen, and how customers can prepare.
If you want to know more about the whole program please keep an eye on the official channels, or speak to your Microsoft account rep.
The new version of Office 365 for education enhances the functionality available today, and will be available soon.

Just been informed that newer version of Office 365 will be released within the next 2-3 months.
7GB SkyDrive Pro for every user, fully managed by admins.
500mb SharePoint space per user, with an additional 500mb per user added towards a SharePoint pool of storage to be used as required.
I'll try and update more later....
Is anyone clear as to whether SkyDrive Pro will be part of the free Office 365 Education offerings? I can't seem to find any clarification on this.

@jamesbmarshall would probably be the one to ask but it seems MS is quite tight lipped now about all of their stuff which is unfortunate as they used to be good at informing people so you could actually plan for stuff.

so 7gb space then for clarification for A2 plan for education?
