This is fantastic news. I have many thousands of accounts ready to provision! I hope we don't have to wait too long for our existing deployment to be upgraded.

You can map sharepoint libraries - basiclly skydrive pro - to drives in windows so it cn probably be done, I feel for your net connection though.

Yes. It's all about permissions.

We explicitly do not allow this without the students permission or SMT override.

I already have staff and student licences allocated to our existing tenancy, and our vanity domain is also linked to it - would that cause problems, or is it best to wait for the upgrade to come through?

If you've got no users live then you could, if you wanted to, sign up on the new Office 365.
As for the licensing - it depends on how you've got them allocated. If you have your licences attached to your VL (i.e. you'd have to be an EES customer, not OVS-ES) then it's more complicated. If you just signed up via the website and manage your licences that way then it's just a case of literally starting again from scratch. You'll need to remove your existing domain from the existing tenant in order to be able to add it in to the new one.
OR... you could just wait, but at the moment we are not talking about the service upgrade. Details will come soon.

20th March 2013, 08:33 PM #26 So what exactly is in the 'new' version which isn't in the current version? I'm a little confused! Is it just the 2013 versions of things, and SkyDrive?
