Lightbulb Microsoft Lync on Office 365 - Subdomains

I've set up Microsoft Lync on Office 365, I've set up joe.bloggs@domain.com and Lync works fine on this after adding all the DNS info, however when I set up joe.bloggs@sub.domain.com no matter what I do it won't allow them to sign on?

I've added all the TXT, CNAME info for the subdomain however I feel I've missed something?

Anyone got a bright idea? I'm stuck now.

    Hi,

Have you ensured that you have marked 'Lync Online' as the intent on the sub-domain?

    Yes,

I've also created a test account to try it out, its trying to find the SSL details from the hosting company but not lync online for the sub domain?

These are the details on my DNS management....

    CNAME:
    sip.domain.com > sipdir.online.lync.com
    lyncdiscover.domain.com > webdir.online.lync.com
    sip.sub.domain.com > sipdir.online.lync.com
    lyncdiscover.sub.domain.com > webdir.online.lync.com

    SRV:
Service: _sip Protocol: _tls Server: sipfed.online.lync.com Port: 5061 Priority: 100 Weight: 1
Service: _sipfederationtls Protocol: _tcp Server: sipfed.online.lync.com Port: 5061 Priority: 100 Weight: 1

Right, Do me a favor go to "https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/" and then click on Office 365 and can you do a Lync 2010 DNS Check.

PM me your domain if you don't mind and i'll check things out this end too. when did you make the DNS Changes?

    Regards,
    James.

Ah right, it wasn't a federated domain..

    Domain intent

The following lists the services that you'll use with this domain. To make changes, click Edit domain intent.

    Exchange Online Yes
    Lync Online No
    Sharepoint Online No

I've changed the settings and it's given me some additional CNAME / TXT records to add to DNS management.

Think I've done it! - Thanks for the useful website address

No Problem, I thought that might be the reason behind it. You should be okay now but if you have any further problems feel free to shout.

    Cheers,
    James.
