I had an amazingly cunning idea
what if country created
for every school and pointed the domain at www.existingschooldomain/mobile
what's the point of this?
A folder connected to a shorter address for the exact purpose of having mobile versions of school websites. A mobile website being typically minimal on graphics and filler,
e.g. bbc news mobile: BBC News | BBC News
not a site that uses m. but gmail & facebook do.
It would be super handy, if for instance, I could get the holiday dates from my phone, but I can't afford the data costs of loading the full normal school site. we could do this ourselves naturally without any clever domains but then lancsngfl isn't getting any kudos from promoting alternative means of distributing information. and since this is the age of mobile data.....
