Yeah the SBM is SLT here, i've worked it out that i'm line managed by the ASBM 1/3 of a calendar year, but I work there full year, so I don't know who manages me the other 2/3 of the year.

The head that pays me says he's had more stuff through (presumably the grades have been put back on the job descriptions) and just at first glance he thinks I should be on Grade 6 or 7 (currently on Scale 4 pt 20 which equates to Grade 5).
But my problem is that I might become too expensive to employ
But at least I'll go with the happy thought that I was underpaid while I was there
Si
PS Shouldn't be a real problem as only one school has me working as a simple tech for 1/2 day - in all the others I'm the net man (without the burden of a real network/domain of course)/ICT HLTA/ICT Co-ordinator in all but name for half my time

I got an email today from the sbm saying we won't get told what the school thinks we should be on until the implementation date of October 1st, so worst case scenario is I could be project managing for the next 3 months and then getting made ict support 3, after all the hard work is done and finished.
Si you will get paid more for being a HLTA but I suppose you need the quals to back that up.

Boss is really panicking now - he remembers when the site supers got 8 years back pay!
Anone heard if it'll be back dated at all?
Si
We have been told the last contract you were made to sign from county signed you out of any backpay.
Richard
What about us that didn't agree to the new terms and conditions, and were moved on to the new contract on the 1st August anyway, Unison advised us not to agree to it so I didn't, but still got my old one ended for me and then put on to the new one like everyone that accepted the terms and conditions.
You did sign or you would have been sacked. It sounds like you did what I did and were forced to sign and wrote to the chief exec of the county with the template letter. As far as I understand this it it still allows you to sue for the money but whats the chances of that happening and the union funding a mass legal action?
Richard

AFAIR We were sacked but then re-employed but at least we made a pointYou did sign or you would have been sacked. I
Si
I never signed, like Si said, we had our contract terminated but re-instated with no break in service on the new contract. It was only volentary to sign, as far as we were advised by unison it was not mandatory.
Like you said though, I can't see any back pay being paid, that was the reason they changed the terms and conditions in my opinion, they realised how much it cost them for phase 1.
Has anyone heard any more about phase 2
Richard

I haven't
Si
I doubt we will hear anything until near October.
Just been speaking to our SBM, she was saying that if she remembers correctly from the meeting she had yesterday the assimilations have to be in tomorrow, then the EPR team will deal with any queeries by the end of September, for the EPR to be implemented on the 1/1/12, which is a full 3 months from the date we were originally told which was the 1/10/11.
I'll let you all know of any developments when she sends the email round to all staff affected.
